The 6^th Symposium of the SatBałtyk Scientific Consortium under the heading “Practical aspects of the satellite monitoring of the Baltic Sea” took place at Dźwirzyno on 10-12 June 2015. The meeting was divided into a number of sessions dealing with the most important scientific and technical problems arising during the implementation of the current stage of the project. A total of 14 presentations were held relating to the parameters used to describe the coastal zone, the information and educational content of the SatBałtyk website, the names of characteristics in the SatBałtyk Operational System and strategically important products and characteristics. During the discussions, attention was drawn to certain aspects of the project that could be improved, leading to its greater efficiency.
